Bots for Poker Stars

Poker Stars is currently the largest poker room on the internet, and for good reason. This place rocks. Excellent customer service and a great assortment of cash games plus tournaments of all sizes going off around the clock contribute to it's status. The Sunday Million tournament is the biggest and best-known tourney on the web, with many big-name famous players participating in it regularly. It's the place to play for serious players.

So there is a lot of action, including low limit, Limit-Hold'em tables. They don't care about stats-gathering software such as Poker Tracker. Therefore, Poker Stars is a great place for a poker bot. Unfortunately, there aren't any winning out-of-the box solutions for this site - or at least we haven't seen them. Your best bet is to attempt to find or create a winning OPI profile for use with a bot such as Android Bot.

We wish you luck with that, as we haven't been able to find or program a winning OPI profile for Stars despite many months of efforts. We suppose that doesn't mean it can't be done, but at this point we are skeptical. We'd much rather see some rogue operators start selling a complete, stand-alone bot application for this site (like Shanky Technologies) that has a proven winning track record. Either that, or an OPI-like program that has enough variables to enable a winning profile to be created which will work with one of these kinds of bots.

We're not holding our breath on this one, but it sure would be nice to get on board early with a winning Poker Stars bot. Deposit bonus offers are few and far between, and the signup bonus is nothing to write home about. But the loose action from casual players more than makes up for it - this is the power of a huge poker population. A good bot should be able to make 3-5 big bets per hour at the lower limits.
